4,000 health cards cost $100. We still can’t always pay it.
Everything we have done so far, from the cards to the campaigns to 70+ events, was paid for by students running fundraisers of their own. That only goes so far.
Why a student group struggles to get funded
Most grants are written for organizations with paid staff, audited accounts and years of history. We are students. We run on volunteer hours and weekend fundraisers, and most of the money set aside for health education was never designed with people like us in mind.
So the bottleneck is not people. We have more than a hundred students ready to write cards, local students ready to translate them, and more than 25 schools and institutions ready to hand them out. What we do not have is the money to print them.
When we run out, it is not a spreadsheet that goes without. It is a classroom in a rural village. It is a family that never learns what the first signs of a stroke look like. It is a child who never gets a card in the language they read at home.
Help us print 400,000 cards.
We found a supplier who prints 4,000 cards for $100. That is 2.5 cents a card. Our goal is $10,000, and every dollar is counted in the jar.

The first $4,000
- Raised entirely by students, at fundraisers they planned and ran themselves.
- Raised in Austin, Texas, and donated to homelessness efforts in California.
- Raised with no grants, no paid staff and no office. Which is exactly why the next $6,000 is hard.
We are a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit (EIN 39-4123660), so your gift is tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. Questions about where your money goes? Write to us and a student on the team will answer.
Help fill the jar.
