Our mission
Care should not depend on where you were born.
Millions of people cannot reliably get basic medical care, and a large part of that gap is information rather than medicine. We are students, and this is the part of the problem we can work on.
Why we exist
A parent who knows what a warning sign looks like will act on it days earlier. Those days are often the whole difference.
Our chapters run wellness checks and screening clinics where getting to a doctor is genuinely hard. They hold workshops on the conditions that show up most in their own communities. They print health guides and hand them out in the language people speak at home.
None of that replaces a health system. It closes the distance between someone noticing that something is wrong and someone doing something about it. That is a narrower goal than fixing global healthcare, and it is one students can actually deliver on.
We now run in 29 states and 33 countries, and every one of those chapters is led by someone who lives there.
What we hold to
Equity
Healthcare is a human right. Where someone was born should not decide whether they get care.
Youth Leadership
Students run every chapter. We give them training and materials, then get out of the way.
Community
We build programs with the people we serve, not for them. Chapters are led by people who live there.
Education
Most of what we do is information. Knowing what a symptom means is often the difference that matters.
